The Grill Hut in Morro Bay

I have tasted fish and chips far and wide from Ireland, Maine, New Orleans and all over California. Morro Bay has some of the best. Harbor Hut is my favorite. Fresh, big fillets, crisp and tasty. The tartar sauce is very good. The view can't be beat.

Our first time in Morro Bay and definitely not going to be the last. We a crab sandwich that was the best I have ever had. I was raised in Alaska and know good crab...

We came here and waited 30 minutes to be seated. The host seating everyone was the rudest guy ever! He was even rude to another older gentlemen next to us. We decided to leave solely because of his poor customer service and terrible attitude. I do not recommend this place.

Loved the little shack...the squid burger was amazing...lovely filet of squid...delicious! The oysters I got from their other more formal restaurant (next door, same owner)

Typically when my family and I visit we always eat at Lil Hut so we decided to change it up a bit and try Harbor Hut and I’m glad we did! It was delicious and they’ve done a wonderful job with the outdoor seating among the pandemic. And the young hostess/waitress was so kind and wonderful. Wish I knew her name so I could give her a shout out! Will definitely be eating here in the future.

Located in Morro Bay’s Pier- this restaurant overviews the bay and has nice seating with heaters-perfect to warm up for Cold winds from Pacific Ocean. We just have to wait 5-10 mins to be seated. The menu is mostly seafood. Ordered the pacific red snapper - grilled nicely and its fresh. The prices are quite on higher scale. 30 dollars for my snapper comes with 2 sides. For Covid guidelines, expect to wear a mask, limited seating, outdoor dining only, and waiters has to wear masks too. I rated 3 because of some waiters attitude. The garlic bread that we ordered, he just slammed in the table. Others were polite but not genuinely enough.

The first place we dined . delicious food. Clam chowder was the best. Appetizers brushetta and shrimp cocktail awesome. View was amazing .

All-time favorite. Had crab cakes, and the rack of lamb special. Very good flavors, well prepared. Guest dining tip: "seasonal" vegetables do not change... steamed carrots, potatoes, squash.. never changes.

This was a nice little dinner spot! The clam chowder is amazing. They don't offer a bread bowl, but they bring unlimited homemade bread that is absolutely delicious! I made the mistake of ordering something I had a slight allergy to, and they did not hesitate to allow me to pick something else and remove it from our bill. The prices didn't break the bank either.

The food was excellent. The staff was beyond on top of it. I appreciate the treatment. I have been here many times. I will always come back and refer friends and family.

Great food, great service and spectacular scenery! I often drive to Morro Bay for lunch and it's usually at Harbor Hut. My family frequents this restaurant because of the portion size, selection, prompt and friendly service and the fresh seafood. The two hour drive is well worth it!
